► Joel Tadman tests the new TaylorMade SIM2 and SIM2 Max drivers up against eachother but also against the outgoing SIM driver to see how the performance compares. The new SIM2 driver comes in at a less expensive recommended retail price (£449) than last year's SIM driver (£479), so are you now getting a better driver for less money? We found out!

The Wilson triton driver that won driver vs driver has a full carbon sole and that’s years old so this isn’t new from taylormade

@TenPester says:

Demo'd SIM2 at the weekend against my SIM. Original SIM stayed in the bag. SIM2 launch was just stupid high. Not great for when the sun is lower.

@station2station544 says:

"This video is a PAID PROMOTION". Bummer.

@terrythomas790 says:

Im waiting for next years model. It will be the longest, straightest driver ever!! Didnt they say that sometime before?
In reality, spend $100 on swing lessons, and you will gain at least 20 yards with your old Bubble Burner.

@slave0102 says:

Sorry but this review was awful. You kept droning on and on and didn’t really just hit a couple balls so we could hear it and the stats were just a blip. Terrible.

@midlifebiker7424 says:

Paint chips are an issue with TM…woods and putters…

@midlifebiker7424 says:

I have so many drivers..if only the shaft hozels were interchangeable then I would only have to buy the heads…
Love doing my own head to heads

@gurjrai says:

Equipment is about 20% whilst technique is the rest.

@evoviiiyou831 says:

Thanks for the great review. Very insightful

@mattbonnell7023 says:

Love the look of the SIM2. But yeah here in Canada most new drivers coming out are $699 + tax. That's a bit ridiculous. No way am I paying that for a driver.

@Dryd-ck1fd says:

I like golf monthly but get frustrated when it seems the channel always try to deliver a ‘result’ for the new product. In this vid the numbers for sim / sim2 are virtually the same but then you go on to say sim2 delivers slightly more performance. Would rather the channel calls the results as per face value. Having said that i enjoy the content so thanks for sharing

@alanking5001 says:

Prefer the lighter colour of the original SIM

@paqman78 says:

I love annual new club releases because it drops the prices of last year's models.

@muffin0079 says:

Which driver you going with for this season then Joel? Whenever we are allowed to get back on the course that is.

@loljockey says:

Absolutely love the look of the SIM2, but I agree with others here – new driver prices are crazy. This makes the Cobra RadSpeed at £369 seem cheap…

@petekenny3774 says:

Nah nothing new here but they'll sell still …funny how you don't many ams at most golf clubs that dont use the original sim????????

@davewatts7444 says:

Driver prices are ridiculous, when length gained is so marginal. For me, with a slower than average swing speed coupled to some very tight purse strings my best option, stick with my rocketballs 11 and give my pro £54 quid and see how many yards he can get me.

@garykauffman8618 says:

Same club, absent cosmetic changes. Taylormade in search of unsuspecting consumers………

@dickieharkness5661 says:

Which did you prefer out of these and the new Ping G425?

@deanbrayshaw5862 says:

£449 wow, still a lot of money

@Justwanthavefun_100 says:

Since M2 most TM new drivers launch almost same performance with just some cosmetic changes
