Valuable tip here. Thank you. Never knew what produced width exactly before, but your explanation is spot on. Why the mystery all this time about that very important question? Were all those other professional instructors unaware of this basic fact? Hmm

@FT163 says:

It looks to me that Mcilroy and most other pros have a lot more separation between the trail upper arm and torso to give them more width. You appear to have very little distance between yours.

Excellent advice thanks Moe knows.

Can't wait to practice this on the range. I'm a late starter to golf, and have been avoiding my driver on the course, as it goes all over the place ????

@dry509 says:

So on backswing, your right hand is producing an element of external rotation, and your forearm is pointing up at the same time?

@huttboynz4422 says:

Haha just brought a new QI10 driver yesterday. Was fitted for it but was struggling yesterday but was out performing my old driver on the simulator by about 20 yards on average. My old driver averaged about 235-240 yards, was really hoping a new driver would get me over or around the 250 mark! I had a hit on the clubs warm up range but I’ll implement this when I head to proper range over next few sessions. I’m not letting this new driver get the better of me!

@casualagent7250 says:

Must try this, my driving is awful at present ????

@TD-qi2rw says:

This is your best instruction ! Well done Russell and for all you at home watching, practice this and bring it out to the course. Your friends may out drive you but your balls are dead straight.

@TrevorHeath-hd9gs says:

All your videos finish that fast I almost don't have chance to like them.

@hgibson2448 says:

Love this right arm stuff Russell. Could you do a video about baby movements involved in squaring the club face? The scenario in the downswing from hip level to impact position. I am curious of the motion/feeling from open face to closed at impact. Thanks for this video, really enjoyed it. All the best to you and yours from Nova Scotia Canada.
