Learning to strike your irons is hard… BUT you need to use the most effective iron golf swing technique that I have used to date! The setting of the wrists to start the golf swing, combined with the shoulder tilt and turn, really makes it easy to create forward shaft lean and compression with your irons!

In order to make this ridiculously easy for you to follow, I have broken down WITHOUT DOUBT the most EFFECTIVE IRON Technique TO DATE! into 3 really easy steps!

1. SET the wrists so the left wrist is flat
2. TURN the shoulders and hips
3. THROW the angle down to the golf ball at impact!

You can use the same good net! Highly recommend The golf net – https://ellermont.com/alexelliotgolf

Doing this, you'll strike the golf ball with your irons like you NEVER have before.re

Alex, this is something I was figuring out on my own, trying to fight against my hook tendencies, but when looking for new sensations to handle it, it get worse losing consistency; but you've put this on so simple words that is mind blowing. Thanks a lot!

Thank you so much! That video helped a lot. Finally I got a feeling for the lag and the right timing for the release. ???? Also recognized that I have to setup closer to the ball. Can't wait to take it to the range.

Thank you! Took this drill to the range this morning and what a difference it has made ! It helped me identify that my swing was all wrong (The club head was almost touching my left shoulder!) and I was losing all control during the down swing! Easily gained 25 yards but more importantly control of my swing and now have a sweeter strike ???????? ⛳️ Thanks again! ????

I thought you weren't supposed to set your wrists early, aka the whole "you should do a one-piece takeaway" guidance I see out there. You have another video where you teach about "how the hands work" and you show the throwing motion of pushing the trail (for me my right hand) palm out towards the target and not turning the trail wrist over (which is my problem). Does the one-piece takeaway vs early set actually give you more room to make the trail wrist flipping error?

Thank you.

I only have room to hit a 56° or 60° behind my property. Well, I did. I played around with this drill for 20 – 30 minutes. Now, I only have room for a full swing with the 60°; 74 – 75 meters! Thanks Alex!!

@bloxrocks says:

Not being critical but why is your lead foot so flared open?

@darrellrodgers6227 says:

Another easy concept to make this game more enjoyable. I want to thank you. Last year one of your videos transformed my driving. Your ability to break things down so that handicap golfs can understand and follow through with what your teaching is truly amazing. Fan for life. Going for par or better this year. I wouldn’t be without you.

@kipheeg1386 says:

Yes! Would love the same drill for driver!
