Seems a relevant time to dig this one up Mark 🙂
Weighted practice clubs. Like the short one for indoor practice. What do you think of these?
It's a great way to practice your swing. On a range sometimes because you can see the ball it makes you try to hit it harder.. then you're not focusing on perhaps getting your swing on plain or hitting from the inside etc. Where as a net, you don't care about where the ball is. Just focused on getting good contact and movements
Great impact teaching aide but when you get on the course you could be hitting hook/slices as the short distance hitting into a net gives no feedback only for about 4-5 feet.
Linking this video and the other from today on differences between driver and iron swings. I think practicing launch into a net is a great thing. I have a velcro target setup and you work purely on that first 15ft of launch. The ball's stick to the target so you know how high your launch is and the initial direction. Because your not concentrating on overall flight or how far it goes it turns the practice into a more target related one.
I also find it's excellent for "Taming the beast", like throwing dart's, you can be very accurate when your using a certain amount of power. But as you start to rev it up, then the launch and direction shift, so it's good for "Greasing the power groove"
It's the exact opposite of heading down the range and trying to launch a bucket over the back fence ????????????????????????
What about this product? https://www.haloneuro.com/ I'm very scepticle about it.
I get out the back and just tear up the grass change swing ideas and feelings then try that on the course 🙂
Did I just see the youngest and the middle one play a prank on Mark? I suspect he has just been locked out on the balcony! Lol.
Totally agree Mark! I have a net and use it to groove certain drills I'm working on and just to get solid contact contact with the ball. It's also useful to warm up with prior to heading to the course!
