This is why you struggle to strike your irons pure and make solid contact ????

1. Your sternum is not positioned correctly at address
2. Your forearms are not in line at set up – BIG ONE
3. Your posture is misaligned at set up
4. You don't transfer your weight naturally in the golf swing
5. and one cool little trick that makes your golf swing effortless

What's great is if you have any one of these faults in your golf swing they are really easy to fix and can make an instant impact on the quality of your ball striking not just with your irons but with your driver too.

For example if you want to hit your driver straight just getting the forearms aligned at address will be a real eye opener for you.

ABOUT DANNY
———————–
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

On YouTube and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.

Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

Can't wait to try this out, already feel like a better golfer from just watching this. Content is top notch!!

@k.i.s.s.. says:

"not hitting down" is the worst advice I've ever heard…
Good luck to all you 90s-100s golfers listening to all these youtube guys.

@Elkashe says:

Thanks Danny. Are hybrid swings the same? I know set up is a bit different.

@eoghanart6439 says:

This is fantastic. I never really compressed the ball when I was young. I figured it out at about 25. Injury stopped me playing at 27. But 30 years later I still follow golf on YouTube and I really wish that I had seen this lesson when I was a kid. Wonderfully explained ????

@AntonVanDerSar says:

These videos are good, but it's just WAY too much talking (takes one to know one ????). This video would be just as effective in 3-min if he knew his audience better. It's marketing 101. If you're talking to everyone, you're talking to no one. He's marketing to everyone; weekend duffers and low handicappers alike. Doesn't work that way. He's giving advanced style instruction but conveying very, very basic swing info. It's counterintuitive. And it's annoying. If he made this into two videos, one for the 115+ crowd and another for the 80+ crowd, it would be much more effective. Just my opinion. I like what he's saying but the important stuff is too intermingled with the basest of basics. I'm 40 and have been playing golf since I was 8. I don't need the fluff. Others do, and that's okay. I just wish he had vids more geared toward advanced golfers. rant over. heading to the range.

@artmetcommerce4749 says:

"Simple as that"!

@davidsalazar8122 says:

Best , simple instructions.

@rich2376 says:

I hit a lot of pull/hook irons. I've been trying to hit my irons with an inside out swing, sometimes successfully, but still hit the occasional pull. I was wondering if I should setup a little closer to the ball. It seems like at the last second my mind tells me to swing to the left. What do you think?

@Cmole07 says:

Hey Danny! I love your videos! They helped my game so much! I’ve been playing golf for 2 months and have already noticed improvement, your videos are broken down brilliantly and they make sense. You’re the best YouTube golf channel! I have golf tryouts for my high school tomorrow, I’m gonna take everything I’ve learned from your videos and everything I’ve practiced with to my tryouts. Wish me luck and THANK YOU!

@sisport_01 says:

Down ball .. #bam

@daveffs2991 says:

clickbait thumbnail "don't hit down!" – whole lesson is about a downward strike

@c_b8s4 says:

I'm a huge proponent for the forward press. The body naturally produces equal but opposite reactions. Press forward slightly before taking the club back to imitate impact. That impact position will be reproduced on the way back through. Sam snead taught it best.

@justmenate says:

I've been watching way to many golf videos as I'm brand new … this is #1 on how to swing so far.

@bl0ated_ says:

I feel like the penny has dropped while watching this video – to the range, let's see…

@jamaljefferson1193 says:

Left the driving range today frustrated as I kept thinning and chunking all my iron shots.

Came home and found this video. Immediately started practicing the drills. Went into the backyard expecting to thin the ball but instead it flew over the fence and went at least 100 yards down the alley.

Thanks for these mental concepts. I’ve been too busy trying to hit the ball and not flow through the motion. The third step about bouncing the ball to the basket was helpful.

@jimwalsh2269 says:

Pity the sub titles cover up the video of the club hitting the ball otherwise would have been great to watch, no need for sub titles

@gregconto2669 says:

Excellent video!!!!

@umiel386 says:

im listening to you now sir

@gsashkin says:

Played in a local scramble on Saturday and hit a lot of fat shots. Very disconcerting. I found this video and yours on the draw the outline of the 45 degree plane with a pen and went out to the range today. Wow. Almost no fat shots. Hit irons very solidly. 5 iron pushed to the right but a good hit. Driver was great with the other video on follow the plane. Will now practice both on grass and the course. I’ve been struggling the last couple years after sciatica events left me out of the game for 6 and 8 months respectively. Been rebuilding my swing. Thanks.

@johnwright2223 says:

Great video. Can't wait to try it out at the range. Thank you

@PotatoVR5742 says:

This hits me on all levels to improve! Without a strong foundation can’t be successful in anything.

@Affordablebath_remodel says:

very well explained and demonstrated

@themillarcraig says:

Great Lesson- Structured, Simple, Strategic! Thanks ???? ⛳️

@rayc4543 says:

Effortless swings = Ernie Els, Fred Couples

@pierrebouchard9386 says:

I love this video. I have a question though: If i'm always line up so the ball from my chest hits spot behind ball, it seems like I can't put ball forward or back for longer or shorter irons? Thoughts?

@fn8382 says:

Night work , have not played golf in 4 years . I am eager to do it again now

@henryzhang9915 says:

This is pure gold.

@PhillKerr says:

So good this I'm just starting out with my first set of clubs. Being a cricketer for over 40 years I'm focused on hitting the ball not the target ahead as Danny showed here. These tips will help enormously. I'm really struggling with set up and distance from the ball.

@richardc6932 says:

One thing that I don’t like is the absence of lifting of the front heel. This slight lift of the heel on the backswing gives the less flexible individual more upper torso turn. I not saying that you must copy a pro’s style (an excellent example would be Jack Nicholas) but it’s one of the basics taught by the EasiestSwing method and it’s been very beneficial to me at 76 yo.????????????????‍????

@leadhkr says:

This makes sense for a short iron where its lined up in the middle of your stance, but what about a long iron where the ball is a bit further up? Your sternum would naturally be a bit behind the ball.
