The drills from this golf practice plan are taken partly from D1 College Golf practice guides, and partly from advice from a PGA professional. I've been using them for the past two months and my handicap is trending downward! You can download a spreadsheet of the practice drills for free here: https://thescratchplan.com/perfect-practice-plan/

If you're serious about getting better at golf, this channel is dedicated to following my journey from 12.3 to scratch. I'm investing all the free time I have into getting better at golf, including working with a PGA Professional coach, and you, as my subscriber, get to follow the whole journey and watch which changes and tips help me improve fastest, so you can implement them as well! Bon Appetit!

Looks like an excellent plan. Do you think it's viable for a beginner still learning swing mechanics to implement this?

@jacksonkendrick943 says:

Very random to see golf the round on my YT lol

@fhssab says:

How much time does it takes all that

@mregg9592 says:

Battlefront 3

@Flyordie11300 says:

This guy is still at the range trying to finish this.

Great plan! I don't usually comment on the quality of a YouTube video, but your narration is excellent in terms of voice, articulation and conciseness. No wasted words or lame humor! I did put you on 1.5 playback speed, so you might consider talking a little faster. As a former script writer and narrator, I commend you.

Wow, man, this is awesome! I am an older beginner and this gives me hope. Thank you very much!

@UlfWeber-q2q says:

So how is a practice plan that probably takes around 3 hours to complete (in you don‘t miss any putts…) ging ACTUALLY WORK if you have only 30 minutes a week?

@deeterfly says:

These are great drills and an awesome video! Thank you.

This is a really great video focusing on HOW to practice. One of my favorite sayings that I've read in a golf book is, "Practice HOW you play because you play HOW you practice." I see too many people aimlessly smashing large buckets of balls and not practicing "how" they play their game. One thing, and maybe you cover this in another video, is the preshot routine. If you add a preshot routine into your practice you don't need to hit nearly as many balls and you will be much more effective on the course because you've been practicing the right things to do and it will come naturaly when you are playing. Last thing…Ray Floyd wrote the book, "The Elements of Scoring." You won't find anything about the golf swing in this book and you will find everything about HOW to play/practice this game. Buy it. Read it once from cover to cover. Read it again with a highlighter. Read it again with a pencil. Review it annually (or more) thereafter. It took me a long time to realize that NOTHING will bring my score down faster than practicing the foundation of this game with enthusiasim – Grip, Stance, Posture, Alignment, Preshot Routine, my mental game, and the most important, golf isn't about perfection. Good luck, enjoy, and keep the great videos coming!!!

Love me some Golf The Round

@jordangolfs3 says:

I'm definitely not able to get in putting, chipping and 100 balls done in 30 minutes, but this is a great video. Will try this plan out my next few range sessions

@lkae4 says:

Low runner, medium two hop and flop shot wedge reps are good. Knockdown driver is also very useful instead of 3W.

@HogansAngle says:

I commented from my personal account on your Five Lessons video. I think this practice strategy is really interesting. Especially the one armed swings. Ever noticed when you chip balls off the chipping green, for example, with one hand how your right arm stays tucked to your side? Just walking along flicking them off the green

@choicehunger says:

Anyone know any good android apps to track progress at the range? Like a workout tracker app, but for golf. When I search in the play store it's all stuff like 18 birdies which is fine for tacking a game, but I'm looking for something more practice oriented.

@KelvinTrinh-k6w says:

Thanks for this. It's awesome because some people try to sell these plans online.

@jeffpaul606 says:

On the putting and chipping, use my own golf balls or range balls?

@thomasg321 says:

This is fantastic

@KeenOContent says:

I’d recognize this course anywhere! Good ole GTR in SLC. Might have to join you for some practice sessions – great video!
