ABOUT KIRK JUNGE
———————–
Kirk Junge began playing golf at the age of 5. After a successful Junior Golf career, Kirk turned professional in 1986. He has played on the Dakotas Tour, the Teardrop Tour, the South Florida PGA and the SouthWest Ohio PGA where he captured one victory.
Kirk recently proved how amazing the Setup 4 Impact swing is by winning the Senior division of the 2023 United States Golf Teachers Cup in Las Vegas with a score of 4 under par for 36 holes on a very difficult golf course, under difficult conditions, over a top field of USGTF certified golf instructors. He won by six shots, after finishing second over the past two years. It was mainly due to his simplified Setup 4 Impact golf swing and simple set of drills that anybody can learn to play their best possible golf. See results under Senior at https://2023uscup.golfgenius.com/pages/9947992403082241279
In the year 1996, Kirk began to teach the golf swing of Moe Norman, and shortly thereafter taught with the Natural Golf Corporation, where he stayed until 2005. During that time he was one of the top instructors and was responsible for answering over 3000 golf technique questions on the Natural Golf forum. He was a licensed instructor with the Graves Golf Academy from 2014 to 2016. Kirk also holds several other certifications with the United States Golf Teachers Federation, the World Golf Teachers Federation, and is a former PGA of Europe member.
After leaving Natural Golf, Kirk headed to Pforzheim, Germany where he ran his own Golf Academy until 2014.
In 2005, Kirk set his sights on creating a simpler golf swing, which led to the creation of Setup 4 Impact Golf. Using his 20+ years of golf instruction experience and his knowledge of the many different golf methods. Kirk has distilled golf knowledge from some of the best golf instructors in the world to create the Setup 4 Impact golf swing. His instructors included the likes of Wild Bill Melhorn, Jimmy Ballard, Terry Crouch, Artie McNickle, Chuck Hogan and Dave Pelz, and many more.
Kirk’s main goal is to help golfers improve their game as quickly as possible.

The Setup 4 Impact golf method can be fully customized to fit your own personal needs without the need for special golf clubs.
Kirk has taught golf for 35 years now. He has taught various golf methods including for Natural Golf Corporation, Single Axis golf, and the Graves Golf Academy. The Setup4Impact golf swing very closely resembles the swing of Bryson DeChambeau who also sets up on his impact plane. Kirk's number one goal is to help you improve at golf.
Kirk Junge currently teaches his “Setup 4 Impact” swing full-time in West Palm Beach, Florida year round, as well as Cincinnati, Ohio, Sanford, NC a couple times per year. More info at https://setup4impact.com/kirk-junge/

I started tinkering with a single-plane swing based on the Moe concept a few years ago… I started using Kirk's simple method about a year later… I had a lesson with Kirk this past summer and he really helped taking my swing to another level. He gave me just a few things to work on. Now that I have worked on those things and used Bob Rotella's concepts of "playing with the unconscious mind" I'm playing the best golf of my life. Still need a bit of work on short game which I am working on… but playing some good and ENJOYABLE golf.
Kirk, thanks for the video. As an alumni of one of your schools I can attest to the simplicity of Setup4Impact and the improvement it can bring to your golf game. I went from shooting in the 100+ category to the low 90s in my first year at 70+ years old! My original goal was to break 90 but with the constant steady improvement I am getting with Setup4Impact I am now working towards breaking 80, got close a couple times but not yet so there is still work to be done. Golf is so much more enjoyable when you’re scoring better and thanks to Setup4Impact I am enjoying golf so much more
You are absolutely correct, I’m 67 and I’m playing a lot better with this swing, my only change I switched from strong to neutral grip.
Great admirer of Moe's. But your method has always worked best for me.
Hi Kirk. In my opinion, instead of saying what in your opinion is wrong with the teaching of others, you should focus on your own ideas, which I think are very valuable in themselves, without the need to argue them against others. For that you should do the same as T. Graves does, and that honors him, share for free on youtube, practically everything he teaches. Best regards and thanks.
Great video, thanks for sharing.????
The main reason most people can't handle Moe's way of swinging is because unlike you, as a youngster he had a violent thrust. He wasn't that smooth at all https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BfQNs10ZCvo
On the bent knee at impact I still mix Moe's way with your smoothness. Moe never had a knee problem. I've been swinging this way since '95 and never had a problem, and This guy here also never had a knee nor back problems before he passed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qk9gXGG-10c (swing starts at 4min 10sec)
I'm not trying by any means to go against your teachings as I respect your method which part of it I use and will always recommend it even more times than I'd recommend the Graves's 'cause I don't really need a real wide stance…yet. It's just that I believe the shear caused to the forward knee joint by straightening AT IMPACT, it's what creates big knee trouble in the PGA standardized swing regarding the list of players who mechanize this way. I've got nothing against straightening the leg AFTER IMPACT, when the torquing forces have already past the swivel knee archway.
I haven't lost distance since I reached my normal limits (except when 3 year ago I went on a quest to reach over 350y, then I stopped) to use my short irons and at times still some wedges for my second shot onto the green on short par 4s hitting from the tips all the time. Whenever I can't reach them no more in regulation, I'll start hitting frae one box down, I reckon
Cheers Kirk!
