I’m new to golf. Been playing a few months when using my 7 iron maverick or Taylor made mc 6 iron… night and day from looks to feel to everything …. Both are good and hit well just very different almost seems like first few weeks 7 iron maverick was the real deal until I used to taylornade mc now seems odd when hitting my mc Taylormade

I wanna use my maverick but some how I find myself grabbing the mc one

The funny part about tour players is that when they use game improvement designs, they hit the ball straight with tighter distance control than the blades they use. But they still go for the blades, so ego is a thing even with guys playing for money.

Clearly use blades unless you want your fragile ego hurt. The more practice you put in and more you dedicate yourself to the game, the easier it gets. It’s a double edged sword of course. The harder life is and the more strive to succeed the more you get out of it and the better you feel when you succeed. Take the hard road. Put in the work for years. Feel your failures as much or more than your successes. You can do it if you put you mind to it.

Let me give you some perspective. I chose to use Mizuno MP-69 blades now. I started with King Cobra SSI or whatever it was called 20 years ago. I used to shoot 100-120. I chose the hard road. I like to make things more difficult for myself from golf to video games. I have never played more than 20 times a year and probably have averaged about 4 times a year. I can count on my fingers and toes how many times I’ve been to the range (slightly exaggerating, may have been about 35 -45. I love making things so much more difficult I refused to use a range finder or GPS until this past year and a half. Have never gapped my edges properly until last year. I learned to judge shots and distances with my own eyes and not rely on technology. I average about 90-100 doing it old school. I now shoot about 85-90 using a GPS and never go to the range. I should probably start doing that. Moral of the story is that if you don’t hinder yourself with technology and just learn the game, even with limited knowledge and skill you can still improve….using blades. Don’t fall for the levels of super game improvement vs game improvement vs blades debate. It’s all what you put into it and I have just scratched the surface. Get out there and play and strive for your goals whatever they are. Marketing doesn’t decide what your score is. You do.
