Controling tension (fysicaly and mentaly) is key I have learned as a beginner, senior golfer. I have made most progress though with applying less tension in the grip. It is the first thing I check when I'm not pleased with my game.

I agree that tension is a big obstacle when it comes to hitting quality golf shots. Even though I have played this game for over 70 years, I still have an occasional tension anxiety! One thing that I have found to relieve tension is to lighten the golf grip on the handle and relax the arms and shoulders. I like the "sliding the hands up and down the leg simultaneously" in order to mimic the golf swing Harry! I also like the idea of "facing the chest" toward the target and the arms following at impact! As Always, Well Done Harry!
