Looking for an affordable projector for your golf simulator setup? In this video, we walk you through how to use a $180 budget-friendly projector that pairs perfectly with popular golf nets like the GoSports Range Cage, Spornia Net, The Net Return, and GoSports Elite Net.
The Wimius P62 projector is highly rated and can be placed 10-13 feet away from your impact screen, filling it entirely. When switching from the projector setting to HDMI 1 (iPhone connection), the image may slightly shrink, but overall, it's an excellent alternative to expensive short-throw projectors like the BenQ models.
We use this projector with our Garmin R10 and Rapsodo MLM 2 Pro Launch Monitors. To connect an iPhone with no lag, we recommend using the Apple Lightning AV Adapter. Plus, our adjustable tripod setup ensures perfect positioning!

The projector easily fills up the entire screen. After talking to the Awesome Golf team, when using an iPhone, like I am, Awesome Golf and E6 software is locked into 16:9 aspect ratio with iPhone – when using a PC (or iPad I believe) you have the option to switch to 4:3 ratio which will fill the entire screen.
@dub-golf Is this bright enough to use outside during the day? I'm gonna be using my sim in a carport with 3 sides open until I can get it enclosed. Might be a while. I have the range cage being shipped now and I have the mlm2pro. Just need a projector. I have a ViewSonic projector that is short throw and I can't figure out how to place it where I wouldn't worry about it.
Thanks for the video..great info
Will work with android as well?
This video is EXACTLY what I was looking for! Ive spent about 8 hours looking for "budget friendly" projector options that always ended up being $500-$1200! With a Spornia 8×8 net and MLM2 Pro, this projector is absolutely perfect. You've saved me a nice chunk of change Lads, Fairplay ????????! Subscribed on YT and followed on IG, best of luck with the channel growth!
It's 16:9 not 6:19
My P62 is coming tomorrow. I still haven't decided on a net+impact screen or enclosure setup. I will be using an OG Skytrak.
Good info. Found you from the reddit group.
I think it’s because your phone is 16×9 when sending image to projector. If you use an iPad it will send in 4×3
Love this information. Been looking for an affordable option
I got that projector back in November after your recommendation have been very impressed for the price, very bright even with some lights on. Just use my iPad and awesome golf. I have just used the cast feature as well so technically you don’t even need a cord, didn’t really notice a lag either.
At least for Rapsodo, if you double tap the aspect ratio button again once it's projecting it'll change to 4:3 again – not sure if that'll work for Awesome Golf.
great video as always. nice work
Bravo! ????
Does the Apple Lightning Adapter work for Ipads too?
