This channel focusses on the golf swing and discussing in detail about the areas of the golf swing that most amateurs get wrong. Each how to video explains everything a golfer needs to know so they can improve their golf game and start lowering their scores, so wheter your trying to break 100, break 90, break 80 or break 70 then this channel will help you acheieve everything you want.

I don't rely on many if any training aids with my coaching as I beleive that the change will happen once you understand what it is your really trying to do with your golf swing and once your understanding improves then you will start to make the correct swing change, I will occasionally offer drills to do as this can often improve your feel verus perception battle and help aid your cause.

I love giving golf tips however I really enjoy helping golfers with their game and love the positive feedback about golfers who I have helped with their ball striking or driving or whatever so if you like golf tips then you should subscribe.

I'll always try to put my swing on slow motion on the camera howver this is sometimes difficult due to the set up of my driving range and I'm often looking for privacy but I agree that seeing a Professional swing in slow motion can help golfers develop.

I do use the term perfect golf swing, not because there is a perfect golf swing or perfect backswing etc however I like to discuss options in all my videos and sgtrongly beleive there are 5 or 6 things we have to do in the golf swing but there are options for golfers to choose what they want to do which is why I feel im qualified to discuss the perfect golf swing as much as anybody else.

The areas I disucss in the golf swing are hip rotation, swing plane, upper body movements, how to gain speed in your golf swing, how to use the driver, all golf swing basics, golf swing for seniors, golf swing for irons, the elbow positions and whats the best way to swing a golf club and much more.

I also do alot of club reviews with Midlands Golf and specially Ronnie and coach at Four Ashes and a friend who helps me as I'm not the most technical person when it comes to club equipment, but we talk about what are the best golf clubs, golf bags, golf balls and even golf trollys. Everyone wants to know whats the best golf club and especailly the best driver which is why we test all of the clubs and give our opinion on what the best golf clubs are.

We talk about the popular tournaments upcoming especailly the masters as this is a favourite for every golfer.

We do all of this from our happy home Four Ashes Golf Centre.

  1. One of your best video's to date Russell. This gives us an extremely thorough review of all thing's backswing and the quality as alway's is priceless with many alternatives to contemplate……

  2. Who are these people who make a big deal about recording your own swing? I’ve been recording mine for 2 years now and its been a positive conversation starter at the range. Even been asked to record a strangers swing a time or two. If you aren’t willing to be a complete student to this game then don’t be that guy on the range or the course getting angry cause you sliced over to the next town.

  3. Russell you're a miracle worker ! Thanks to your teaching, after 32 years in the wilderness of golf instruction, I finally own a reliable and repeatable golf swing. It took a couple of months of watching your instruction, for me to find a couple of simple feels that work for me. I never would have focused enough attention on the lower body and core motions without your enlightening series of videos. I'm so happy with finally having one swing that works with all clubs that I'm very reluctant to start videoing it and possibly jinxing myself. I do keep a very careful written diary of everything that I try, so I don't end up reinventing the wheel and remember the things that work.

  4. Another great video Russell and a good summary of the journey so far – my game is continuing to improve and the videoing will be the next step – using the trail arm and understanding range of motion and how that helps keep the other arm in sync and on plane is a revalation – thanks again!

  5. I’ve noticed my lead arm is much flatter and deeper with my driver compared to my irons, particularly the shorter irons where I’m more over the ball and lift the arms steeper, is this normal??

  6. Top man Russell, your vids are fantastic, love these different explanations mini series you do, just as I think I don't understand any of what your explaining you bring a vid out and it clicks, bravo sir bravo and thanks for your time, it is helping me, hitting more and more proper golf shots? the fats are getting less and less.

  7. You do insist a lot on the backswing rotation of the pelvis into the backswing… But, just getting that move right improves my swing tremendously: club head speed, good contact, ball trajectory and accuracy, proper release. All of that is achieved with one swing thought only: turning the pelvis into the right leg. The rest just flows simply and naturally from there.? With enough practice, I hope I will gain enough confidence to trust it over water (my nemesis)

  8. Russell, i realise you are repeating the message, but i appreciate the importance of what you are saying. I'm listening and I think slowly, but surely, I'm getting it.

  9. Pro Tip. You don't need a tripod to film your golf swing. I use a bicycle phone holder and just clip it to my bag and then place it in the appropriate position. If no one is beside me on the range I can film myself at will from the side and obviously you can film yourself from behind at any time.
