Worlds #1 Coach Shares Right Arm Secrets With Me – Live Golf Lesson

Move your right arm like this in the golf swing and you will feel like cheating. In this golf video Danny Maude has a golf lesson with the #1 coach in the world Pete Cowen. You will learn that by getting the right arm in the correct starting position with driver and irons the golf swing just feels easy.

When you get the right arm in the correct position it helps you get a perfect backswing. In fact once you have locked the right arm in place Danny shows you exactly how to move the right arm perfectly with his signature dumbbell move.

But the golf lesson wouldn't be complete without knowing how to move it in the downswing. Danny Maude has you covered. There is no room for loads of complicated swing thoughts in the golf swing so you need something super simple.

Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

On YouTube and my personal website ( I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.

Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

This golf lesson provides a couple of wonderful drills to help you hit your driver straight. If you are a beginner golfer and are looking for some golf driver tips that are simple and easy to do then you are going to love this.

I will show you the golf swing slow motion so that you can see what you need to do to improve.

We look at 3 things:

1. How to stop slicing your driver
2. How to swing more in to out or how to swing more inside out
3, How to get the correct impact position with driver

and I hope to do all this with simple golf tips so you can create an effortless golf swing

  1. Very interesting but I am not sure if I got it fully.
Does that mean there is actually no release (such as when throwing a ball where the wrist flips forward)?? ?
And to keep pressure, do you keep your wrist firm?? Thx a lot.

  2. Unbelievable video! Thanks. Danny, can you comment on John Rahm’s swing with very short backswing as it relates to what Cowen is teaching here with pressure down. Thanks

  3. For me I needed to watch the lesson a few times to capture all the information, I picked up more each time. Brilliant as ever.
Does driver work in a similar way?

  4. Danny, What a great video. I struggle to understand what Peter means by "spinning the right hand down" as I think you did too. Can you put it into your words? Also what Iron were you hitting and does this apply to every club in the bag?

  5. What great knowledge and explanation.proper masterclass. Can take so much away from this to put into practice.fantastic video Danny??

  6. I've been struggling with keeping elbow in …Watched this helped alot found this after this video shipped it over night it helps alot…
    ( Callaway Connect Easy ) works ?

  7. That's a wow video Danny. I like the cross handed idea to find the trail elbow position at top of swing. That has been my swing thought lately. Right elbow position at top of my swing.

  8. Great stuff Danny, thanks a lot for this.
In your intro you mentioned the driver as well for this session, but did not use it. I’m assuming the right forearm spin/shaft pressure applies for the long clubs too?

  9. I'm only about 6 minutes into this video and already have a question answered about the right elbow. Spinning it down. Lately, my focus has been my elbow. Yesterday when I was on the course, I was in the rough. I'm a natural lefty and play righty. My usual ploy was to try to pull with my left out of rough. But usually ended up not well. So I concentrated on the right elbow and had the sensation of whipping it down. It was a new feeling and I felt like it really increased my club head speed. My trail elbow always just followed along and I'd try to sync it with my left. Now on with the rest of the video!!

  10. Great video. At 15;00 he keeps saying “just spin it down” vs “you’re rotating”. Confused by the difference between spin and rotate?

  11. This is a great lesson but isn't he leading with the right shoulder when he says "spin the right shoulder down?" Why wouldn't it lead to an over the top swing?

  12. This was eye opening for my iron play and it gave me so much confidence over the ball. The only thing I've been thinking of over my last 2 rounds is that right hand pushing down into the ground and it's been fantastic. Would this apply at all to the driver of would this be a terrible thing to do?

  13. Best explanation ever as to how to strike the ball properly. Thank you Danny for introducing me to Mr. Cowen's instruction. Take care.
