Be athletic and use common sense. If you’re slicing your drive, close your club head it’s not too difficult to figure out. Slow down and make sure you get the club head on the ball. What works for you may not work for someone else or anyone else.

Great tips mate. My problem is that my aim is a little off but it gets better with your last tip ?
These tips are great. Note Rick's setup/stance here, his feet are parallel to his target line and in line with each other. They are not open (lead foot behind, back foot in front of the other. That typically opens the face like discussed in step 1, and promotes a fade) and they are not closed (lead foot ahead of the other, with the back foot behind. That typically closes the face down / promotes a draw). Take a look down at your feet when you setup before doing steps 1-3 to help get consistent results.

Try hitting a tennis ball for practice. It might be much bigger and seemingly easier but it's not.
rick, thanx for all your tips. you are the best and have made playing golf more enjoyable. while i still need improvement i am most definitely getting better.
Rick just pi$$ed off every Golf Pro … who has taken our hard earned money to the bank on fixing our slice. The #1 cause of the slice; 'Face Angle". Rick has Nailed it…and Nailed it hard. Face Angle / Club Face alignment. #2 cause of the errant Tee shot….Line up. how many times has your league partner, after you have jacked it into the wood….mentions, "that where you were aiming"…when all along your eyes were aiming down the middle. When it comes down to it. Your eyes will lie to you….
If you are new to golf or jot hitting it straight, memorize and practice these three tips 1) center of golf club, swing paths straight to target, 3) square face at impact… and just drill them until you’re doing it every swing… be efficient and fast in learning all three at once as otherwise you’ll just take months or years to finally hit the ball straight when it would have taken you a month or week… don’t learn one then two etc… learn and do all three… if you don’t you will not hit ball straight and won’t even see the difference in utilizing two out of the three… any one can throw off ball flight… another important tip however is having the right swing tempo…. don’t try to kill it focus on smoothness… trying just to land the ball on the fairway and the perfect 3:1 tempo… I personally always hit it left if my tempo is off but dead straight 100% of the time when I find my tempo and hit it smooth don’t try to kill it… it feels almost like the club is whipping anc lagging and whipping behind my body.The more you can suck up and learn information wise the faster you’ll improve and the easier golf will be.
