HOW TO SHALLOW OUT GOLF CLUB AND HIT IT LONGER

This video is about how to shallow the golf club in the downswing in order to generate more power and more consistently straight shots.

In order to shallow out the golf swing you need to make the downswing transition as natural as possible and in this weeks golf lesson I give you two drills that will have you shallowing the golf club in no time.

ABOUT DANNY
———————–
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

On YouTube and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.

Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

  1. Very good teacher. Very good at explaining what to do clearly and understandable. Whilst video is great I like face to face – the teacher can show me the exact position of backswing to downswing so I can feel exactly where the club / grip / hands/ right arm should be – do you teach the public in person? Where are you situated please?

  2. Excellent lesson. Worked on this for the last 2 days at the range and it has made a great difference. Feeling I have consistency in my swing like never before.

  3. @Danny Maude I've seen a lot of videos on shallowing where they recommend bowing the wrist. I find that concept of wrist manipulation an inconsistent way to shallow the club. I'm going to try the loose wrists today, seems so much more natural and more importantly achievable. Thanks Danny!!! Wish me luck ?

  4. @Danny Maude either you're really lucky or just too good!! Lately your shots in your videos have been pure. I can almost feel the sonic boom all the way in the Philippines ???

  5. Great video using natural shallowing. So do you not promote the whole unlar deviation/leadwrist flexion to shallow? Wouldn’t this come in with an open clubface if u don’t do those things?

  6. this is the missing piece of my swing…and the hardest to master…and all my previous coaches didn't touch this aspect at all…hopefully can bring it to the course soon.

  7. Great video. Looks so simple Danny and I understand what you are doing. Simple for me to do using the weight of two clubs, but using just one club, much more difficult. Guess I need to soften the wrists even more… I also see how you get that right elbow tucked in close to the right hip. That is also a piece in this equation I guess.

  8. Great drill with the weighted 2 clubs, and moving the lower left leg out. Shallowing helps you to get the perfect divot too, that's the feedback I think, the dollar bill divot.

  9. Absolutely brilliant information and instruction delivery. Thank you Danny. I've subscribed to so many golf coaching channels but i don't think anyone can explain it to your level of "consumability". Just brilliant.
