Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!

I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.

I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!

On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

If you enjoy the channel make sure you hit subscribe and also tap the notification bell so that you are always notified when I release a new video.

Rick I need a video on pushing shots to the right. Thanks

And this is Why Rick is the No 1 golf YouTuber. Shows us he’s just like every subscriber and goes through good and bad with his golf. Good to see this instead of perfect shots all the time. Top content.

really good vid Rick, just stay positive mate and keep em coming

@peterhammer4644 says:

I love those pitch shots without a divot. There is a big difference in professional players, some come very steep to the ball to take a divot, some don't.

Rick, I know you're a pro but when you start going really left it looks on the video like your hips rotate first followed by the hands and then the shoulders. On your straight drives your hips seem to wait for your upper body to "get there"! PS, I battled a similar issue.

@PetSKi67 says:

Leading edge parallel to spine angle is the modern and not ”shut” by any means. It means that the face is perpendicular to the path all the way back and forth and release is towards the target face following the arc. Lot more consistent than the old method of opening it on the way back and closing on the way thru impact.

I think it was Tom Watson, who put it out in YouTube telling, when he discovered the golfswing. Look at DJ and them hitting it a mile. They use the body really efficiently and have really little face rotation by arms and forearms to deploy the full power at the ball.

@PetSKi67 says:

About the take away? Lot of instruction tells you not to rotate the club behind and inside in chipping and lobbing the golf ball.

Might be, that I have a tendency to go way, way too much inside instead up and ”out” that my advices has been thinking of the outside more and keeping the club head outside my hands and in front more.

I’ve been watching you now for a couple months. Had to set aside my golf game for 7 years because of health issues. Back at it now in an area where I can play year round. I try to take something away from every video I watch. Thank you for taking the time with the videos and the multi angle shots of your swing.

Great video showing how making change takes time, effort and commitment.
