I bought some Titleist MB 710 purely because they were stunning. I was 22 handicap. My handicap dropped like a stone to 10 over the space of 5/6 years. The thin top line, small head makes you focus better.
Using those big bulbous game improvement irons makes you a lazy golfer because it gives you no feeling of where you’re hitting the club face.
There is a lot bs about only low handicaps should play blades. The feeling of hitting and flushing a blade is fantastic, there’s no feeling with game improvement irons.

Assuming you will get better in time, then eventually you will end up with blades and therefore I've had blades from the start. The benefit of staying with a single club for some time is that you really get to know the club, and if you change ever so often, you don't and you will experience set backs because of having to 'feel' the new clubs. In the end there's a lot of marketing rubbish out there. Just use the club you're comfortable with.
Alot of pros play with cavity backs, i don't think it's about skill level
Switching to a bladed iron 20+ years ago (MP-33's) was a game-changer. Handicap went down, feel was magnificent. Can't imagine hitting anything else.

I'm a beginner (4 months into the game) and my fitter gives me the Mizuno 225 with DG instead of a game improvement irons and I improved so much.
How can you claim that people use the wrong irons without seeing them playing ??
Fed up with self proclaimed experts who know better than us what we MUST do or NOT ; same solution for all ! The opposite of a good (or just reasonable) advice.
such a bullshitter, can't even keep the ball straight. This is what happends when you break 80 and all of a sudden want to be a youtube golf influencer.
I play the forged and shot in the 70s just fine with them. Can shape and everything. Play what works for you and that's it. Not everyone has the time it takes to get to scratch. It took me 9 years and more practice than the average person has. Some people get it easy and some never get it. Do what works well enough for you to enjoy the game
I’ve always thought blades are the Devils Work , you’ve confirmed that to me . Apparently they have a Small Soul !!
