IMPROVE YOUR HIP ROTATION IN THE DOWNSWING

If you’re trying to improve your hip rotation and stay in posture better in the downswing, here’s a great DRILL you can work on.

Put an alignment stick through your 2 front belt loops with most of the stick coming out on the lead side of your body. Place a second alignment stick on the ground vertically, behind the heel of your lead foot and a few inches closer to the target.

The goal is to have one stick hit the other *before* making contact with the ball, while keeping the belt stick pointing down to the ground. This ensures that the tilt of your pelvis will keep the lead hip lower so that you don’t back up & out of the shot.

Keep in mind that certain variables need to be in place when working on this to avoid getting too steep on the ball with your shaft pitch. Starr slow and build your way up to speed. Get grinding! ✌️
