NEW TaylorMade SIM Drivers: LONGER, FASTER or same again?

TaylorMade SIM Drivers & TaylorMade SIM Max Drivers 2020
In this video Rick Shiels PGA Golf Professional reviews the brand new TaylorMade Golf SIM driver & TaylorMade Golf SIM Max driver.

In 2020 TaylorMade Golf are releasing 3 new drivers the TaylorMade SIM driver, the TaylorMade SIM Max and The TaylorMade SIM Max D type driver.

Rick Shiels heads to the driving range, the golf course and to Quest Golf Academy to test the drivers and see if they do actually hit the golf ball longer, hit the golf ball straight and help swing the golf club faster. Rick tests the driver using Titleist PRO V1 golf balls and Foresight GC Quad.

The TaylorMade Golf SIM driver and TaylorMade Golf SIM Max driver will be played by golfers on The European Tour, The PGA Tour as well as The Masters, The USPGA, The US Open and The Open. Some of the best golfers in the world such as Dustin Johnson, Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Jason Day and John Rahm will be using the new drivers BUT are they actually any better than the TaylorMade Golf M5 driver? Find out in this full and in-depth review.

Hi I'm Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!

I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.

I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!

On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

  1. It means so much to get so many nice comments – you guys are the best and I'm going to reply to you ALL (it may take a while?) My reviews will ALWAYS be 100% honest. I will tell you what the brands claim and then I will test them and tell you what I find!

  2. Thank you for the review! I am buying this one for the looks alone. I have found that there is no difference really between the M5 and the SIM Max. My current Driver is 15 years old now, so it is time for something new. I actually want the SIM Max2 (2021 model) but can't find a deal on it, so I am settling for the SIM Max (2020 model) because I can get a used one in good condition which will save me about $250.

  3. I love your channel. I would like to ask why you don't use tracers on all your shots when on the course? It's only a handful of shots, so is it that difficult to edit those shots with a tracer? Just curious

  4. I have a 2016 M2 driver. A few months ago I tested a Sim Max head against the M2 head, both with my existing shaft, using TrackMan at a club-fitter’s facility. Unfortunately I dont recall my clubhead speed, but average carry distance improved by 12 yards and dispersion was very significantly tighter. So even though changing from M5 to SIM may not be of benefit, stepping up from M2 most certainly is. Great review as always, Rick. Really enjoy all of your videos ??
