weight placement doesnt affect ball speed
Hi Michael. Just to clarify, the moveable weight on the club affects left
to right spin on the ball rather than ball speed. However the design of the
clubhead uses a different weight structure to move the centre of gravity
closer to the face and that will increase ball speed. Hope that’s clear :>
@emac417 The SLDR is lighter than the R1 and also sounds a little quieter
at impact, but not by much! The R1 is pretty forgiving but the SLDR
probably has the edge as you can launch the same with less spin and more
loft which will make it easier to keep straight. Feedback over the year was
that the R1 was a bit on the heavy side for most golfers so the lighter
SLDR should mean a little more distance depending on set up as the clubhead
speed will increase. Go swing and post a review :>
thank you for the reply!
Coming from a golfer that has ALL Callaway clubs….I love this driver!!!
Awesome results…does not spin!!!
how would you compare this to the r1 driver? feel, distance, forgiveness etc
