Holly: Good day, everyone! Today, we have the pleasure of diving into the world of professional golf with none other than Nelly Korda, an incredible lady golfer whose career has been nothing short of remarkable. Nelly, thank you for joining us today.
Nelly Korda: Wow, thank you for having me. I'm excited to be here.
Holly: Let's start at the beginning. Can you tell us about your early years and how you got into golf?
Nelly Korda: Well, my family has a strong sports background, with my dad being a former professional tennis player, and my mom was also a tennis pro. So, sports were a big part of our lives. I began playing golf at a young age, and it quickly became a passion of mine. The competitiveness and challenge of the sport really appealed to me.
Holly: It's clear that sports run in your blood. When did you decide to turn professional, and how did that transition go for you?
Nelly Korda: I turned professional in 2016, and it was definitely a big step in my career. It was a bit nerve-wracking at first, but I knew it was the right decision for me. I wanted to compete at the highest level and challenge myself against the best players in the world.
Holly: Your journey has been incredible. One of your major breakthroughs was your victory at the Swinging Skirts LPGA Taiwan Championship in 2018. Can you describe that moment for us?
Nelly Korda: Winning that tournament was a dream come true. It was a validation of all the hard work and dedication I had put into my game. I remember feeling a mix of excitement and relief when I sunk that final putt. It was a moment I'll never forget.
Holly: Your family must have been incredibly proud. Speaking of family, your sister Jessica is also a professional golfer. How has that sibling rivalry influenced your career?
Nelly Korda: Jessica and I have a great relationship, both on and off the course. We push each other to become better golfers and provide a support system that's invaluable. Having her by my side has been a tremendous blessing in my career.
Holly: Let's fast forward to 2021, a year that saw you achieve one of your career highlights: winning the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics. Can you share your emotions and thoughts from that experience?
Nelly Korda: Winning the gold medal was an incredible moment. Representing my country on such a global stage was an honour. It was a challenging tournament, but I stayed focused and managed to come out on top. Standing on that podium with the gold medal around my neck was a feeling of immense pride and joy.
Holly: Your consistency and mental toughness are widely acknowledged. What do you attribute these qualities to?
Nelly Korda: Golf can be a mentally demanding sport, and I've worked hard on my mental game over the years. Staying calm under pressure and having the confidence in my abilities have been crucial. Consistency comes from hours of practice and a deep love for the game.
Holly: Beyond golf, you're known for your charitable work and community involvement. Can you tell us about some of your off-course initiatives?
Nelly Korda: Giving back to the community is important to me. I've been involved in various charitable endeavours, and I believe in using my platform to make a positive impact. Whether it's supporting youth golf programs or participating in charity events, I think it's essential to give back.
Holly: What are your goals and aspirations for the future of your golf career?
Nelly Korda: I'm always striving to improve and win more tournaments. My ultimate goal is to continue competing at the highest level and represent my country in international competitions. I want to inspire young golfers to chase their dreams and show them that hard work and dedication can lead to success.
Holly: Well, Nelly, your journey in golf is an inspiring one, and we have no doubt that you'll continue to achieve greatness. Thank you for sharing your story with us today.
Nelly Korda: Thank you for having me, and I look forward to what the future holds in my golf career.

Perfectly straight left arm and balance…..best legs in women's golf too.

What you are saying is Nelly has the best swing that is pleasing to the eye, but right now the best swing performance wise in men’s is Jon Rahm, and in womens it’s Lydia Ko
Well yes but she is no2 now – Lydia Ko from New Zealand is the current World No1
This is no where near optimal dynamics. It is actually very average in sequencing and power.
Man cell phones are a nightmare for tail admirers.
Very nice but who's world #1??? lol

Love NELLY'S GAME!!!
Hey Nelly, I been praying for you and good job of playing golf
One of the rare women whose driver swing travels a full 360 degrees.
Though it helps to be 5ft10in.
Goddess of golf?! Just how many wins does she have?!
Nelly Korda is so flexible that it's hard to copy her swing
Whoaaaa Nelly! Luv her swing and how she plays the game.
Pity that she hasn't chosen tennis instead of golf…
Nelly does have a great swing, but I think the greatest swing on tour (both men and women) is Inche Chun. It's almost perfect!
Did she ever hit the ball? I never noticed.?
I feel like her name should be Kelly Norda lol
