Hi I’m Matt Lockey, welcome to my Coach Lockey YouTube Channel. This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, and to help you enjoy your golf more!

I specialise in golf course vlogs, golf challenges, golf tips, golf lessons, golf club reviews and the odd golf club unboxing. So pretty much everything golf!

I want to help you play better golf by providing coaching videos on all topics about golf. How to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
As well as helping you produce the best long game you can have, I will help you lower your scores by chipping better, stopping duff and thin chips, pitching the ball closer and creating backspin like the tour pros. Finally, I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts too!

If you enjoy the channel make sure you hit subscribe and also tap the notification bell so that you are always notified when I release a new video.

Mike Rodrick says:

Does there not have to be both? But the torso turns the shoulders & not the shoulders separately or it'll be an arm swing. Isn't tilt part of the set-up & maintaining posture?

Dougie Montana says:

If I tilt I often hit really fat shots, can you do a video on how to avoid this, thanks

Alex Duckworth says:

Hey Coach, Great tip. Could you do something similar for backswing & downswing sequencing?

colin tennant says:

My biggest problem. When I get lazy or tired or cocky I always make a full shoulder turn but it’s level. And I never remember until I’ve stuffed up my round 😂😂

Ronald Lanman says:

Sounds good coach, thanks for the advice.

Chris Wilkinson says:

Is it the same swing thought with the driver as well? Love your content 👌🏻

colin boxall says:

Coach good advice. Took me many years to understand this concept and the importance to strike. Can do a simple 50 yards into the Green advice vlog.

bill jones says:

been working on this as an element of stack & tilt, my take away key is to feel as though i lock the trail leg knee just before take away. forces me to stay inside the trail leg and turn the hips back and away

Matthew Johnson says:

I appreciate the tip coach simple. And easy to understand. Thank you.

Chris L says:

great drill! I will be sure to start using this before I start hitting balls at the range. I struggle with this and bringing the club too far inside at the takeaway.

Aidan Webster says:

Will give it a go 👍

Peder Jensen says:

My key is to make a slight hip bump , so left hip is little higher then right hip. This way I turn much better I only have to control that weight stays inside right foot

David Thomas says:

Excellent simple drill. Thanks
