Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!

I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.

I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!

On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

If you enjoy the channel make sure you hit subscribe and also tap the notification bell so that you are always notified when I release a new video.

Ryan Larsen says:

I just picked up golf again at the tail end of COVID after 20 years. I picked up a cheap package set and took it for a spin. I went to the range and obviously, I had no clue what I was doing. I couldn't hit my driver to save my life. The hits were so inconsistent that I took the club out of my bag entirely and borrowed an old draw face from a friend. At the end of my first season, I was hitting around 100 at my local course. Its a fairly challenging course too. The first challenge I had was eliminating my slice. Done. Then, distance. These videos helped fix that too. I went from 220 with a 15* slice to pushing 290 on a slight draw (The new fitted Stealth driver might have helped a bit with the distance). With the help I've gotten from these videos on my Drives, my irons, and my putting, Rick, you've helped me shave 20 strokes off my game in less than a year. I started the season at 105 from the whites. My last round of the season was an 85 from the blues. Thanks so much Rick, your videos have helped my game immensely.

If you could do a new video for putting and bunker shots, I might actually break 80 next year.

Thanks again.

What Garmin watch is Rick wearing?

Matthew Law says:

It’s point 3 I struggle with, do you have any drills to help with the hips and rotatation? I also keep the club face square and don’t rotate it which I think is also costing me some distance.

Laurence REBOUL says:

Relaie easy…. To understand … Then,is the real golfeur life ?

Lawton Custom says:

Rick, for comical and educational purposes can you make a driver video of you attempting a single plane driver swing despite you having a 2 plane swing 🙂

Barry Bell says:

I've started hitting the fairway most of the time with your help

Joe Feinstein says:

This is great for my 5 year old who likes to take a step back as she swings – the way you show it incorporates what she already does! Could you make a 5 minute video for young kids teaching them the steps for a good swing?

Gold class tips. ??

Ed Baumann says:

I’m not one to look for the next best golf tip but after watching this vid and taking it to the course…wow. It’s been ages since I hit the ball like that. As a matter of fact, I’m not sure I’ve ever hit the driver on that high of a trajectory. I hit several in the 300 range which at my age is awesome. My playing partner was shocked. Thanks, Rick!

Cam Sutton says:

I swear I'm doing all these things. Still only hitting it 220. 90mph club head speed doesn't help. ?

Michael Scott says:

When I hit it right I'm in the 315 range. But idk there are days where I'm dead on straight 75% of the time other days it's 1 outta ten ?

Spin & Throw Disc Golf says:

Actually the 3d test data of the best tour players doesn't show this. Maybe long driver guys. But not playing pros. They still cover the ball with driver . That hang back makes my lower back hurt just watching it.

spanner says:

Started playing golf last month (6 days at range now)… got an old Driver on ebay (Srixon Z-355) and used these tips. I found I was slicing a lot. And actually found having the ball in line with the furthest point of my front foot made me come up on the ball. The drive went straighter and longer. Only hitting 200 yards but accuracy got so much better.

Daniel Scullion says:

I love this guy…he could retake shots and make himself look great but puts out his awful shots/rounds …makes you feel that even a club pro struggles with this bloody game lol..keep up the great videos

Ron stine says:

Hi Rick, love the content. Can you please review the Talino irons? Keep up the great work.

Sander de Jong says:

I was told by my pro that I am hitting it up 9 degrees. Hitting the ball too high therefore loosing distance. He actually told me to get my ballposition more back in my stance. Doesn’t help yet. Any ideas?

Donald Kelly sr says:

I’ve just played my third round using the setup you described. I can tell you I am hitting it straighter, longer and I am more consistent. My friends are amazed how far I am hitting the ball. I was a mid 90s player. Now I’m hitting mid to low 80s
