ABOUT DANNY
———————–
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

On YouTube and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.

Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

Hi Danny….love your vids as usual…but the problem I’m having is which vid to study?….when I watch this l e it doesn’t seem like the kinetic chain is used. Unlike the lag videos….I like the 45 degree angle but I think if I worked on that I would not be working on the lag…what am I missing? Thanks much.
Eter

Walt Reyer says:

Danny,

I'm confused? Are you saying on the takeaway with the driver, to stay outside of your iron takeaway path which you explained should be parallel with you alignment when swinging your irons on the takeaway?

Thanks,
Walt

Wow… just wow…
Cant wait to try it.
This answer my question from your other video.
THANK YOU!!!

Ian Tweedie says:

Am so excited (as a 67 year old!) at discovering these videos Danny. I am only amazed I have actually managed to play golf reasonably well with my imperfect swing -at times!
Just one question. On the downswing just before the 45 degree angle point would it be correct to imagine that from that point one can use the right hand /arm to start the clubhead going out to the ball? ( instead of just keeping the clubhead back or does this movement of the clubhead to the ball just happen automatically if there is not too much tension in the wrists?)

John Larsen says:

You have a special gift for teaching.  All your videos are all very encouraging for a frustrated hacker like me. Excellent video again.  I'm learning to turn my hips, but In my release, I struggle with early extension of the hips.  When should I feel the hips extend (straighten up)?  If I fight it I loose balance and it doesn't feel natural.  Should if be simultaneous with the release of the club?

Sergio Cohen says:

Very nice and easy to understand. Will put it in practice. Thanks!

Steve Grega says:

Great training video Thank you!

Marc Philippe says:

Very insightful video Danny, thank you very much, I am sure your father was pleased. I have always struggled with the release even though I am a low handicap and this makes things much easier to understand. What I was missing is this hand over the club position when I reach the 45 degree angle, which helps to compress the ball. I normally come into a nice pre release position with the left hand bowed but when I release the right hand is still on the side of the club and not on top which means I have to work hard to square the face. In the drill you are suggesting to take the club to the top from this 45 degree position and I have to say with the wrist in this position the swing is very smooth and I can feel the weight of the club releasing the club during the posting. However as the right wrist and the right forearm are normally more externally rotated at the top of the backswing than in your drill, would you suggest to rotate the club in the downswing to square the face so I can achieve the same wrist position as in your drill? Thanks again for the nice video.

Great video…. seems very similar to what Mike Malaska teaches if anyones familiar?….. ie debunking the whole coming into the ball from inside and getting stuck………

Kevin Brown says:

Great video Danny. Thank you for your wonderful insights

Keith Mancinelli says:

Great explanation. This is one of those videos that kind of just clicks with me, and it makes a lot of sense! I'm about to head to the range to give it a go.

Sam McGraa says:

Danny , I've been following your videos for a while , everything is so perfectly explained and I love the teaching , however when it came to the downswing , I felt like I was going to come over the top , I was so obsessed with trying to re route the arms on the downswing to a more inside path. This angle shows what I thought was coming over the top , isn't really coming over the top! I hope you can address this in a video as I'm sure this could help a lot of golfers who are messing around with the arms trying to "shallow" them out like I was.

romie romie says:

thanks danny..fantastic explanation and i got it now ,Gbu :))

anselmo lopez says:

Muy buen video, felicidades yo tengo ese problema que explicas, mañana ire a la tee de practica a probarlo, si me resulta estaré agradecido y mi golf mucho mas…en hora buena Danny

William Fickett says:

Well that was very interesting. I’ve been playing over 30 years and never heard it put that way, that is coming down on the 45° angle matched up with the hips. I’m going to give it a try I have been working on allowing it to begin to move up at the 45° mark for sometime but have never heard about 45° coming down. The question is isn’t the shaft plan supposed to shallow out therefore for in opposition of the45° just saying or does it still meet up with the 45° path. I hope I was able to pose the question in an understandable manner. By the way such a good fluid swing, effortless. If you’re ever in Florida give me a shout.

Nationalist Nature says:

great great lesson…, thank you so much Mr. Danny

Graham Smith says:

Another great video Danny, and thanks for the tip on chipping as well, haven"t tried it yet but will give it a go?

Robert McCarthy says:

Very, very helpful. Thank you, Danny.

L Duranceau says:

Nice video, sir. What is the action which STARTS the downswing?

Jarmo Markkanen says:

A really great explanation of the release, club path and hip movement. Thank you, I cannot wait for my next range visit to get to try this.
