  1. Even though a pure blade like this won't carry as far as a player's distance iron, I know a blade will fly the exact same distance every shot.
I like more distance as much as any player, but I stopped playing distance irons because I'm never really sure if any variation in carry distance is due to the strike quality or the inconsistency of the hot face. On the face of this blade, as opposed to a distance iron, I know if I've missed it by fractions of a groove or millimeter. These irons don't tell little white lies. If I miss it, I'd rather take my medicine, adjust, and move on. And for me, distance gained at the expense of spin rate produces too many maddening surprises when approach shots run out 10+ yards past my landing spot or don't hold the green. At the end of the day, I've found the game to be more enjoyable when the fate of my shots are in my own hand hands. So these are in my bag for 2020. The first blades I'll be gaming since wearing my MP-33s to the nub. Thank you Titleist!

  2. Awesome video as always Al! Will you be getting these in a split set or the Mizuno MP20's in a split set? Personally I think the Titleist just take it out from the address position for me not that I could play them.

  3. Spent a couple hours in a GC4 today with the 790s, Staff blades and 620MBs. The 790s are loooong 190+ carry but cannot even compare in feel to the Wilsons or 620s. I have to say the 620s to me feel even more solid than the Staff blades. I just sold my 718s and got the Blueprints but damn the 620s look and feel great. Love the retro brushed finish.

  4. That's the same loft I play…jpx 900 tours 1 degree weak….7 iron carry is only 169yds average… I'm only 5'6" so I don't much leverage lol… BUT CONTROL IS OFF THE CHART and when you carry driver 283 average you can get away with weak lofts
